Amended tax return

I amended my 2022 tax return last year and have still not got it back. They received it over a year ago and every time I call they keep saying to wait another month. What can I do?

Here is what it says and I’ve called over 20 times throughout the past year and they kept telling me to wait another month every time.

Unfortunately you are at the mercy of the IRS. Do they tell you what the issue is?

According to them there is nothing more I can do besides wait. It just doesn’t make sense that it has taken over a year. I just feel like I am never going to get it back at this point.

Yes. Once it moved into the new tax filing season priorities probably changed. Eventually, your return will get processed.
