Hi, I filed my 2023 tax return in April. It was accepted by the IRS on the same day. I just realized that I omitted including a prize I won in 2023, so I need to amend my tax return. Is there a waiting period before I can file an amended return? Thanks.

You should not amend until the first return has fully processed and you get the first refund or your tax due payment has cleared.
