You need to file the federal Form 1040 and a ONE state return for SC. Since SC was your resident state for all of 2023, all of your income gets taxed by SC. You do NOT need to file a CT return. Pension/Retirement income is taxed to your resident state. Enter all of your income on your federal return, and TurboTax will automatically transfer that income to your state return. Once you finish the federal, go through the SC state return so you can exclude your SS and pension income for state taxes.

Make sure you entered any withholding from your tax forms on the federal portion.
