I am a federal employee. W2 shows employer name as "US Government, Department of Defense" on my W2 but their street address is missing so i can't efile. Can I look up their street address thru the Employer tax id # on the W2 and then use that address on my tax forms, even though it (their street address) was missing on my W2

Yes, you can enter the street address so that you can e-file.

The IRS checks that it is a valid street address and that the zip code matches the state, but they don't match the employer's address to your W-2 form.

The more concerning question is why is the Fed producing W2's that are missing information.
