topic CD Vs Download Installation Error - TT 2023 in Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Hello.

I have Windows 10 64-bit on my laptop with a disc reader. I purchased a copy of TT 2023 Business and attempted to install it using the provided disc. I could not complete the installation as I was given error prompts mentioning MSVCP140.DLL and VCRUNTIME140.DLL.

So, I opted to sign into my Intuit account, put in the key code, and download it from the website. I had no problems installing it and filing my taxes.

My question is, was there some sort of patch or something in the download that differs from what is on the disc?

I saw people mention fixes for the Net Framework and Microsoft Visual C, as well as some issues with 32/64-bit operating systems. Since it looked like a lot of work, I just went the easiest route, and it worked.
