import data from last year

when I installed TT23 it asked to import last years data.. i see my return in Applications from the last 2 years but TT23 can't find it.It says its a TXF file. any help?

I'm assuming you are using the desktop version.

It sounds like your software is looking for your 2022 data in a different directory than where it is saved.

Open TT and on the screen where it says continue your 2023 return, click the "Find a Tax File" blue button.

Notice the directory where it is looking.

You may either need to move the old file into this directory, or point TT to the directory where your file is located.
