I am executor of my mother's estate by will alone, no probate needed. She died in 2023 and I am filing her taxes. I am going to mail in the forms along with form 1310 as she is due a refund.

Questions:

1) Am I correct in that the address I use for her is my address (which was not her former address)?

2) I read also that the IRS says that as her personal representative I should also put my name on the address line as well (is that correct as well)?

3) When signing, am I correct that I should sign the 1041 and put "personal representative" next to my signature?

4) For form 1310, being the will's executor, BUT not court appointed (there is no other appointed executor or representative for her) I answered Part 1 using Box c (and I also have a valid death certificate). Is this correct?

Thank you for your advice as I want to make sure I do it correctly.

Yes, you are correct. Use the address where you would like to receive any IRS correspondence, including your name. You may sign the return as her Personal Representative, even without a court appointment. This includes Form 1310.

Thank you!

Curiously, am I able to efile this federal return (having 1310 form included in it) even though I am "not signing" the return (nor the 1310) as I am using my mother's PIN to send it? Or is it likely to get rejected?
