Since we can't see your tax return in this forum, you did the best thing you could do by comparing last year's and this year's 1095-A's and Form 8962's.

TurboTax prepares the 8962 for you, based on your 1095-A entries, so if you entered your 1095-A as it was issued to you each year, you did what you were supposed to do.

Obviously, there could be a mistake on your 1095-A, but you would need to contact the Marketplace to inquire about that. If your 2022 1095-A looks a lot different than your 2023 one, that's a possibility.

Or, if your income changed, that could also be a factor.

Here's more info on How is the Premium Tax Credit Calculated.

what's on line 5 of the 8962 for 2022

generally, the numbers on the 2022 1095-A should match the numbers on the 2022 8962 included with your 2022 return.

my line 5 for both 2022 and 2023 were all -0- for form 8962. However, line 12-23 for 2023 have the same numbers as 1095A, but blank completely for 2022 form 8962. I went to amend 2022 to edit/or view my medical sections. 1040-X Column A and B show very strange numbers for Line 1, 2 and 6 which I can't identify those numbers. I think something is wrong with the software. Thank you for your help.
