I’m filing for my grandmother and we’re being asked to “check this entry” for a schedule C. I believe this is for carryover expenses from when she did Uber Eats delivering in 2022. She didn’t do any Delivering in 2023 and I’m unsure how to fill out this schedule C.

If the business (and that's what a schedule C is, a self-employed business) has been discontinued then you can delete the schedule C (go to the wages and income section of your federal return, scroll down to self-employment income and click start next to schedule C and then, when the list of businesses show up, click the small trashcan to the right of them).

If your grandmother is just taking time off and will return to the business later just ignore the schedule C and it will carry over to next year. It should just be full of zeros.
