Some entries required one of the new Schedules 1-6. If your return needed one of those schedules, you had to upgrade. The upgrade is Deluxe and it is $39.99 for federal, $39.99 for state and if you choose the optional service to have your refund paid from your federal refund, there is an additional $39.99 fee for that service. You can avoid that fee by paying with a credit card.
