Can you add the pdf as an attachment to the electronic filing?
Do I file electronically and mail in the information form 5471 separately? If so, is there a way to note that on the electronic filing?

No, you can't attach Form 5471 to your return and e-file in TurboTax Online. You can print, sign and mail the return, adding the form to your tax return physically.

If you use TurboTax Desktop, you may be able to attach a PDF to your return and e-file. What tax return are you filing? Is it a 1040, 1065, or something else? What version of TurboTax are you using?

Using desktop Turbotax Deluxe software

I know Turbotax does not support the form....that is the reason I asked if it was possible to add a pdf attachment to my turbotax 1040 when I file electronically.

Better stated....

In desktop turbotax deluxe software.......before I file federal form1040 and relevant other schedules and forms supported by turbotax.....how do I add a pdf attachment (form 5471) that turbotax does not support to my electronic federal filing so that it is included in the filing - it would not be in the turbotax "language" file but submitted along with it in a separate pdf format file? TIA

Attaching a form to an e-file is only available in professional tax software. You can not do this with TurboTax.
