Does any personal data get transferred to the TT 2018 Deluxe CD upon installation and transfer of the previous year's return?

I purchased TT Deluxe 2018 from Amazon, loaded it, and transferred my 2017 data. I couldn't download the 2018 VA state return. I called Amazon and they said it was probably a defective CD and would send a replacement, which they did. They now want the original CD back. Is any of my personal data on the original disk? Is my personal data at risk?

No. Nothing gets written to the CD. Your return is only saved and stored on your computer. It is not a writable CD.

Strange they would want it back. There was a problem earlier with Amazon sending out the wrong Deluxe program. Were you able to get the state program now?

Same problem. TT is requesting billing information for purchasing the VA state return before it will download. It is supposed to be included in the price of the original package. Can you help with this?
