    <description>&lt;P&gt;I would not worry about that.&amp;nbsp; Putting the 1099-R on the wrong line is no big deal.&amp;nbsp; As you said, the correct amount of income tax has been paid.&amp;nbsp; If you had filed your 2017 timely, in 2018, the 3 year statute of limitation has already passed.&amp;nbsp; The IRS rarely opens a case after 3 years unless they suspect fraud was involved.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Line entry mistake</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I accidentally put the IRA income that should be on 15b into 16b (pensions) on a 2017 return. I'm hoping they'll just fix it. The income is correct, just wrong line. Please advise.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Since 2017 is old it may not matter. &amp;nbsp;For current years, if you put it on the wrong line the IRS won't see it and say you didn't report it and send you a bill for tax. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
