1099-B Worksheet incorrect code N (nominee)

I called E*Trade on 2/20/24 this morning, After explaining the problem to one rep that an incorrect Code N was applied to the Form 8949 and could not be changed in TT, he transferred me toanotherrep with knwledge of the issue. He did not confirm that it wasa MS IT problem, but I said that TurboTax reads the import, as produced by MS, and in Forms View for the Capital Asset Sales Worksheet, Code N is shown. Only MS can correct this anomaly. He agreed to e-mail me in a few days with resolution. I assume this would mean we need to re-import the cleaned 1099-B from MS. I will await their response.

Are the sales with code N wash sales? This is a known problem that TurboTax is working on. It's happening with many financial institutions, not just E*Trade. See the following FAQ.

Why are my wash sales importing from my financial institution with adjustment code N instead of code W?

No, all of my equity sales transactions were long term sales without any re-purchases.
