"partner?" If you are not legally married you cannot add someone else's W-2 to a joint tax return. You each file as single or if there are any children one of you may be able to file as Head of Household.

If you are legally married and have selected to file as Married Filing Jointly you have enter all income from all sources for both of you.

Click on Federal on the left side of the online program screen

Click on Wages & Income

On Salaries, click the start button. Select who the W-2 is for where asked.
