turbo tax income summary comparison of 2022 vs 2023 is wrong for SSA.

Most IRS form 1099s show a gross benefit and lower net benefit after medicar premiums have been removed.

The comparison 2022 summarizes the net benefits, while the 2023 summarizes the gross benefits.

What did I do wrong?

Also I compared the 2022 1040-SR line 6 to the 2023 line 6.

In 2023 6A show the total benefits

In 2022 6A showed the net benefits after removing premiums.

I have double checked my 2023 entries and am sure I put in exactly what TT wanted.

Later tonight I am going to reopen my 2022 return and see if I made a mistake there.

On a Form 1040 or a Form 1040-SR for tax years 2020 thru 2023, the amount that is entered on Line 6a for the Social Security benefits received is the exact same amount that you entered from box 5 of the SSA-1099
