we separately purchased the "TurboTax Deluxe 2023 Tax Software, Federal & State Tax Return [Amazon Exclusive] [PC/Mac Download]" from Amazon.
I was abe to download and enter my License key and file my taxes.
Then, I logged out of my account and into his and it never asked for his license key. After, entering all information and getting to the end to file., it still has not asked for the key. It shows they will efile the federal tax return but the state will have to be mailed..... This makes me feel like it's using one of my 4 available federal filings left from my license key...

You only needed to buy 1 program. Do you need to file more than 5 returns? The License is that you can install it on 5 computers you own. You can do unlimited returns and efile 5 for free. You can only install 1 program on a computer.

no, I only needed to do mine and theirs. That’s why they bought there own.

I was able to do my state tax return via efile but it’s not allowing for theirs.
I only had to pay the extra $20 for efile. That’s not an option on theirs. That’s why they bought there’s separately

That's weird. Maybe they need a form that's not ready yet. Are they able to efile federal? You can't efile state unless federal was efiled first. Should be $20 for their state too. And maybe they should try to get a refund from Amazon. You only need 1 program.
