The S corporation returns are generally due by the 15th day of the third month following the last month of the tax year. It is possible that you entered a fiscal year for your S corporation so it ends in January. In that case, it would be due in April. You can look at the top of page one on your Form 1120-S to see if you entered a fiscal year as opposed to a calendar year.

Why is the cover letter for my 1120-S return, prepared by Turbo Tax, showing a due date of April 18th? I know it is due on March 15th?
