Can I only file a state return if I used another agency to file federal?

I’ve used another agency to file federal taxes with and wanted to only file my state. Is that possible?

You can’t efile the state return alone You would have to prepare federal return first, complete the state return then print and mail the state return if the free version allows that.

When you use TurboTax the information flows from the federal return to the state return. You cannot use TT to prepare a "stand alone" state return. Try going to your state's tax website to see if you can file there.
