when i try to file my 1099-4 for this year its asking for my financial institution for some reason and then doesnt recognize my bank, what do i do?

If your financial institution is not on the drop down list of the ones that are partnered with TurboTax to allow importing your information into the software, then click on "I'll type it in myself" --- and key it in by hand

To enter your retirement income, Go to Federal> Wages and Income>Retirement Plans and Social Security>IRA 401 k) Pension Plan Withdrawals to enter your 1099R.

The easiest way is to enter it yourself.

When you start the 1099-R you will see the screen Let's import your tax info.
At the bottom of the page select Change how I enter my form.
How would you like to upload your 1099-R? will be the next screen.
At the bottom select Type it myself.
The input screens will appear.
Post your 1099-R.
