I started for a new company at the end of December. I was in training. The company has 2 parts to it- preschool and childcare. Each side has their own budget and employees but their share the EIN. I received 2 w-2’s, one from each side (child care and preschool). The problem is, is that they are for the exact same amount. All the info is the same and it is not a duplicate. I received a paycheck from each side for the exact same amount in December. Turbo tax will not allow me to add them separately because it looks like a duplicate. What do I do?

Here is what to do: You can add the information in both W-2s and enter only one since the employer is the same. Keep your W-2s in your file so that you have them when should you need them later. This will not draw attention or cause problems for you. The IRS takes about two years to reconcile your return with your W-2s and they will find the totals are correct.
