Since federal does not recognize registered domestic partner, Im gonna use head of household filing status. Do I do the same like entering my own W2 and all my dependents and same with my partner he’ll be entering his own W2 as single filing status?

Then filing separate with CA state return as married/RdP filing joint and that’s the only time we combine our income?

Yes and yes. Only one of you can be HOH and the other is single. You will each claim your federal benefits separately. For CA, you combine income.

See RDP for more.
