You will have to install the software on your new computer. Sign in to your account to download. You can install TurboTax Desktop on up to five personal computers.

You will have to move your tax data from the old computer to the new computer. You can save your data on a portable device to move it to the new pc. Review the TurboTax Help article: How do I move my tax data file to another computer? for more information.

I have the same issue, although with two older versions (2020 and 2021) which I need to access to amend a return. I still have the license key for both years (and 2020 is also showing online in my Turbotax account) but when I download, install and enter the license key it displays license key not valid. How do I activate the version I have installed?

I have the same issue, although with two older versions. Still have the license code and CD (and the 2020 activation code is also stored on my online account) but when I attempt to activate it says "code not valid". Old computer not functioning, so I can reinstall. is there some way to reset my license code or equivalent?

For 2020, 2021 & 2022, Even though you can install it 5 times, it seems you can only use the CD 1 time unless you install it on another computer using the other operating system like Mac. And if you installed from the CD it seems you can not download it from online. You can't do both CD and download. See the info on this FAQ

Appreciate the info -- as another user commented, this is crazy! Hoping support might be able to help out but seems unlikely.
