The Form 5695 Residential Energy Credits for tax year 2023 has not yet been finalized in TurboTax.

The Form 5695 is scheduled to be available in TurboTax on 02/07/2024 (subject to change).

When is the 5695 going to be updated and loaded. They said February 7. The form is not there

This is scheduled to be fixed with the February 7 update. The updates generally happen at night. It should be available February 8.

I too have been waiting for this one form to file my return. It said February 7th, now I'm reading it could be February 8th. How frustrating.

I believe we all have been misled. Due to the fact that turbotax had not disclosed to everyone filing for the energy credit that the I. R. S had not completed the form and filing would be delayed. Furthermore, Turbo tax failed to disclose that that even though the IRS has made this form available as of 3 days ago. Today's date being February 7th 2024. That turbotax has no time frame when they can update their software Nowhere, was it disclosed that turbotax must now update their software and then submit it to the IRS for approval before they can file our taxes. My next post will be a screenshot of a turbotax employee. Stating, this!

This not Disclosed Prior to my purchase is illegal both federal and state law. I have screenshot many of the replies from employees here on turbotax continually misleading everyone out here, giving dates when it will be available and then when it's available, then they disclose that there really is no time frame for them even to submit our returns. Because they must have the IRS approve their software. Outrageous If this was disclosed to me prior to my purchase I would have not purchased this product and would have filed manually via Paper file. I and others should demand a refund. And if it's not given, you should contact your Attorney General's office to see what they can do for you.

Deceptive Business practices If they told you and I the truth they could not get paid So they are collecting money for a service they cannot provide until a later date The reason we electronic file is to get our taxes done quicker. Where as we could just mail in and have a taxes already in by now!!!

It's going on a month for me. My taxes would have been accepted via mail already.

I have an email from TurboTax and the app notified me that the form 5695 was ready. So I logged onto the app and tried to finish my return. Get all the way through, even through PAYMENT and they tell me I can’t sign and submit because 5695 isn’t ready?! I’m furious.

I received an email and notification from the app saying form 5695 was ready and I could finish filing. So I try to and get all the way through payment for it to not let me sign and submit because 5695 isn’t ready, what’s going on? Why was I told by two methods it was?

To enter Home Energy Credits -

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Deductions and Credit
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Under Your Home
On Home Energy Credits, click the start or update button

Or enter energy improvements in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to energy improvements
