Was your income higher this year? Are you getting any back? Did your family size stay the same? Do you pay your full premiums and then get the credit in your refund or did you take the credit so you had lower premiums? Did something else change on your return?

The premium tax credit is based on your income in regards to poverty level. So, a slight increase in income or a change in family size would change your qualifications for the Premium Tax Credit.

Double check your entries. Be sure you didn't include anything in column C if you did not get any type of Advanced Credit.

If all of your entries are accurate, you can compare your last years Form 8962 with this years form 8962 and your full return for last year with this years return line by line to see what could have changed to cause you to not get the refund this year.

The only difference I see is that I made $560 in 2022 and $5078 in 2023

Assuming the $560 in 2022 and $5078 in 2023 are correct, you had quite a large (percentage) change in your income.

As Vanessa said, "Was your income higher this year?" A close examination of your 8962 will reveal the difference.
