I am 17 years old and i’ve held a couple jobs last year. my dad is claiming me as a dependent on his taxes. does he pay less into taxes if he includes my jobs? or do I have to file separately to get a tax return? if he gets more from me working, does he need my W-2?

No he doesn't include your income on his return. It goes on your return. If you are under 19 you can be claimed as a dependent no matter how much you make. On your return you will have to check the box that says you can be claimed on someone else's return

You don't have to file if you only have W2 income under 13,850 but you can file to get back any withholding taken out in boxes 2 or 17. But you don't get boxes 4 or 6 back. If you got a 1099Misc or 1099NEC you have to file it as self employment income no matter how small the amount.

Filing requirements for a dependent

https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/children-dependents/help/do-i-need-to-file-my-own-taxes-if-i-m-a-dependent/00/26111

To file a separate return as a dependent you need to set up a new account separate from your parents. Online is only good for one return per account. You can use the same email address for 5 accounts. You can probably use the Free Edition or the Free File website

Be sure on your return you check the box that says you can be claimed on someone else’s return. If your only income is W2 and under 13,850 you do not have to file a return except to get back any withholding taken out.

You don't get a tax return. Your tax return is the form you send to the government that shows your income and calculates your tax. The money the government sends back to you is your refund.
