I don't know if anyone has experience with the Basic desktop version not the Deluxe version. The difference of Deluxe and Basic, according to the website, is Basic doesn't have itemized deduction. But is that the only difference? Can Basic also import stock data from financial institution like Deluxe does? I know Deluxe desktop does, but I never use Basic desktop before. Anyone knowing about Basic version please shares some knowledge. Thank you.

I believe Basic has everything the higher versions have including Schedule A for itemized deductions. But Basic doesn't come with a free state program. But you can buy state extra.
