Meals with Clients

As a realtor, where do I enter meals with clients? They aren't meals while traveling? And they aren't daycare meals!

Don't worry about the category title -- go ahead and enter under Meals while traveling. In TurboTax, this includes:

Meals while traveling for business (alone or with business associates)
Meal when you attend conventions, trade shows, business conferences
Hosting a group business dinner at your home
Hosting a group business dinner at a private club or restaurant
Meals for potential customers or clients (at home or out)
Business meals at a club
Meals during hunting, fishing, rafting, skiing or similar outings with business colleagues
The cost of meals for a business associate's spouse (and your own, if other spouses are attending)

To enter, edit or delete Meals (50% limit) in TurboTax Home & Business:

Select BUSINESS in the banner
Work through the opening screens until you get to How do you want to enter your business income?
Select I'll choose what I work on
Select Start or Edit to the right of Business Income and Expenses
Work through the screens until you come to the Your [X] Business screen
Scroll down to Business Expenses, and select Start or Update to the right of Other Common Business Expenses
Scroll down the Let's write off some business expenses screen, and select Start or Update to the right of Meals (Meals while traveling)
On the Meals screen, select Start or Update to the right of Meals: 50% Limit
Enter your information, and continue
