Sorry----you cannot make any changes while your return is pending. If you entered the wrong IP PIN then it will be rejected. When it is rejected you can fix it and re-file. WAIT until it is rejected.

If you have a 6 digit PIN issued to you by the IRS you need to enter it in order to e-file. Go to Federal>Other Tax Situations>Other Return Info>Identity Protection PIN and enter the six-digit PIN.

Once a tax return has been filed it cannot be changed, canceled or retrieved

You will have to wait for the IRS to either Accept or Reject your filed federal tax return. If the IP PIN is incorrect, the IRS will reject your tax return. The IRS starts processing tax returns on 01/29/2024.
If the return is rejected you can make the necessary changes and e-file again.
