Convert Basic software for US to ex-Pat version.

Am on auto renewal. I was sent the Windows11 Basic software US version via online download which I have used successfully for past 7 years since moving to Israel. But you have changed the software so Basic US version no longer works for ex-Pats e.g. has problems accepting non-US phone numbers in W-2 entries. I now need the ex-Pat version. So I need to upgrade to that but cannot find out how to do that.

There is no version called the "Ex-Pat" version. All of the CD/download software versions have the same forms and schedules. The big difference between Basic and Deluxe or higher is that Basic does not include software to prepare a state return---which you do not need since you do not have a state return to prepare. Basic should meet your needs.

Many tx for the follow-up. My original download did not allow entry of non-US contact info for the W-2 forms. My latest update solved that and I am now able to complete my entries. Problem solved.

But another issue remains:

When first opening the software, there is a page to update contact info. That Does Not provide for ex-Pat entries.

I tried to add my foreign address when logged on to the website "Profile". But the SAVE button at the end did not respond - and I tried several times. I'll check for an update. Maybe someone has gotten around to fixing that.

You might try clearing cache and cookies in the browser you are using.

OK I did that. SAVE still unresponsive in online Profile "Add ..Address".

None of the 3 are possible. I do not have international phone calling - use Gmail, WhatApp messaging and Video to communicate - and I am no fan of Facebook or Twitter.

I have stated my problem clearly, and also written that 1st page on opening software to update contact info is not ex-Pat friendly. Other than that, Turbotax is working just fine for me.
