Tax Year 2023 Transmissions are not available

I filed my taxes back at beginning of January 2024. When I tried to submit the information (confirm button), it wouldn't go any further. I spoke to a TurboTax rep who took me to a screen that gave dates of 1/18/2024 for when I could file. Yesterday I got all the way through to the transmission screen where it keeps giving me this message; TAX YEAR 2023 TRANSMISSIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. I've tried everything the [Turbo Tax] help screen suggested (taking pop up blockers off my computer, using a different web source, and deleting cookies from the computer). None of these things worked. I tried to call TurboTax to figure it out, and the automated system will NOT let me through unless I pay $30 for an upgraded version of my tax filings. Is anyone else having this problem or have more information on what we should do? Please help!

Maybe you are waiting for some forms. Click Review to see if you are missing some forms needed in order to e-file.

Many federal and state forms are not yet available. Check here for form availability. The dates are subject to change.

Tax form availability tool,

No hurry to e-file since the IRS will not begin to accept/reject 2023 e-files until January 29. And….a state return cannot be accepted until after the IRS accepts your federal return.

Thank you for the reply! It turns out it was because my state was attached and in OH they won't let us file until January 29th (so I was told). I was able to go in and delete my state off and the Federal went right through. I'll wait until the 29th and go back in to do my state alone.

If anyone else gets that TAX YEAR 2023 TRANSMISSIONS NOT AVAILABLE message I would suggest checking when your state's file dates are, and you may get your answer! Hope this helps anyone who needs it!
