What worked for me was uninstalling the software and rebooting my pc. Then, I right-clicked the installation file, chose to "Run as Administrator", and that worked. Running the install as the administrator may not be necessary but I did so to make sure I didn't have to perform many more troubleshooting steps. You just have to make sure you are an administrator on your pc, obviously.
