I downloaded windows when I needed to download chrome HP so now I can't open the file to do my last year taxes

Sorry you can only install it on a full Windows or Mac computer, not a Chromebook. You can use the Online version. You would have to get a refund for the Desktop CD/Download program and pay for online separately.

What do you mean you meant to download "chrome HP"? Do you have a Chromebook? The CD/download can only be used on a full PC or Mac. It cannot be used on a Chromebook or any other sort of mobile device.
