State - one free state program but. . .
State e-File cost extra, price varies at the time you actually submit e-File, more expensive as season proceeds

With Amazon prices, the purchaser has to be careful as some listings are for Federal only, without state.

It's also important on Amazon to make sure you are getting "sold and shipped by Amazon." In the past, at least, 3rd party resellers could list pirated copies and Amazon did very little to block them.

They stopped that for the current tax year (2023). Further, the only concern would be if a customer wanted a CD (for past tax years). The downloads have always been sold exclusively by Amazon.

But at Costco & Sams you get a $10 rebate which will automatically apply to the state efile or any other service you add. See last point in product description.

That's true but then warehouse clubs have annual fees for membership.

You don't have to be a Prime member to get the prices posted from Amazon.
