Can I file taxes if I had no income in 2023, but have 3 dependents, one being disabled?

I was a stay at home mom. Their father left about 4 months into the year. Then our youngest became sick. I receive child support and SSI.

With no earned income you would not receive any tax benefits if you file.

If you had no income of any kind in 2023 then there is no reason for you to file a tax return. You are not eligible to receive any type of tax credit that requires you to have earned income from work, such as the Child Tax Credit, the Child and Dependent Care Credit or the Earned Income Tax Credit.

Child support and SSI is not reported on a tax return since it is not taxable income.
