I have been preparing turbo tax for 5 years on my desktop using the CD. I now have a laptop without a disk drive. How can I transfer my prior programs to my laptop?

TurboTax does not support tax years prior to 2020, so you will not be able to install those earlier years.

If you do not have a download account with TurboTax then it would be easier to just go ahead and purchase an external CD drive to use with the laptop. Those external drives can be purchased for about $20.

Thank you. Can it be saved on an external CD drive? After I installed on my desktop I never used the CDs again but still have them. . It was saved on my desktop. I want to download 2023 on my laptop but I also want it to pick up the prior year information. One drive is showing the files on my laptop but I can’t open them without the program.

@Kreilly05 You will need to copy the tax data files on the desktop computer to the laptop computer so that the 2022 tax data will be available to transfer to the 2023 tax return on the laptop.

I ordered Turbotax 2024 for my old Mac but failed to notice it work work for my Mac Monterey OS.

I have a newer Google PixelBook desktop computer, can I change my download for a download for the Google OS?
