When I enter information on the Medical Expenses for my Insurance premium, I have purchased through the market place and did not receive tax credit nor did I qualify for the tax credit. But on the field it state that I should not enter the premium if I purchased it from the Marketplace . I am confused as I thought it would qualify as a Medical expense since I pay the full amount out of pocket. When I enter the 1095a form it does not add the total to the medical expense area. Do I only enter the 1095a. I believe in the past my accountant entered both.

Thank you

First the Sch A is not fully functional and will not be until 1/10 at the earliest so you may just need to wait a while. Also you should only enter the 1095-A form and the premiums should flow to the Sch A automatically. Also on the 1095-A form you must have an entry in column B even if the 1095-A form doesn't have it filled in ... log into the ACA Marketplace to get the amount you need to enter ... 2023 forms and tool are not yet ready...

https://www.healthcare.gov/tax-tool/#/
