What time will i be able to e-file?

Today is the 4th and it keeps saying that its not and i cant e file. Why?

Have you all the required forms and schedules in your 2023 tax return?

Click on Review to see if there are are forms and/or schedules in your return that have not yet been finalized.

If none are listed then just wait until later in the day since e-filing has yet been turned on.

Note - If you need to add or correct anything on the e-filed tax return you will not be able to do so. Once the tax return has been filed you cannot change, add or delete anything on the return. You will have to wait for the IRS to either Accept or Reject the return when the IRS starts receiving tax returns in late January.

The IRS has not yet announced a date when e-filing of 2023 tax returns will start. TurboTax lets you "e-file" now, but your tax return will not really be filed. TurboTax will just hold it until the IRS begins accepting returns. Nothing will be done with it before then. If you submit it early, be aware that you can't cancel it or get it back to make changes or corrections if you find that you made an error or left something out.
