When did this happen? The efile system is currently closed so nothing could be accidentally filed. To file anything you have to complete all 3 steps in the FILE tab and click the big orange button.

So are you sure you are in the correct account ? It's common to end up with multiple accounts. First LOG OUT of whatever TurboTax account you're logged into right now. Then use this TurboTax account recovery website to get a list of user ID's for an email address. Run the tool against any email addresses you may have used

For 2023? Impossible. First of all, TurboTax does not file your tax return for you. When you e-file, YOU have to click a big orange button that says "Transmit my returns now." Until YOU click that button, your return is not filed.

Secondly, e-filing has not even opened yet. It is not possible to e-file a 2023 return at this time. E-filing will open in a few days for 2023 returns.

So, take a breath. Your return has not been accidentally filed without your W-2's. Make sure you are in the right account. Then wait for your W-2 to come in during January and file when you have everything ready.

You must include every 2023 W-2 on the same tax return. Employers have until the end of January to issue W-2’s. Wait until you have all of your W-2’s. Clients, schools, banks and other financial institutions may not have tax documents available until early February. ALL of your tax documents must be entered on the same Form 1040; do not file unless you have entered everything.
