Download 2020 Turbo Tax

I need to access my Turbotax disc to my home computer. I originally used my work computer and I am no longer working. I need access I need to prove to the IRS that I filed.

The code is not working from my original.

Please help

Even if you access a download of the 2020 tax software and install it to your home computer, that will not provide any proof that you filed a tax return. When you use the CD/download, the only copy of your return is stored on the hard drive of the computer you used or any back up device you used like a flash drive. There is no proof or record online that you filed a tax return.

Did you ever get the refund from the original return or did you pay the balance due? Check your bank account for proof of either situation. Did you check the IRS site here : www.IRS.gov/refund

To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Start the 2023 online tax return by entering some personal information then click on Tax Home on the left side of the screen.

On the Tax Home webpage -

Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

Try checking your old emails for the email confirmation from TurboTax that your return was filed, and then for the second email when the return is accepted by the IRS. While it's not the entire return, it is some evidence, at least.

YOUR WRONG ON THAT. WHEN YOU LOGIN TO TURBOTAX IT HAS ALL YOUR PRIOR YEARS YOU FILED USING TURBOTAX AND WILL OFFER AN OPTION TO DOWNLOAD A PDF
