    <description>&lt;P&gt;......and two other things to try without doing a full re-install (assuming this is a Windows Computer)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1)&amp;nbsp; Close TTX, then rt-click on the TurboTax icon, and select &lt;EM&gt;Run as Administrator&lt;/EM&gt;.&amp;nbsp; then see if it updates OK.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;or&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2)&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;There were a couple Windows OS updates issued this week.&amp;nbsp; IF partially-but-not-fully installed, that&amp;nbsp; can cause TTX&amp;nbsp; issues.&amp;nbsp; So:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Check for the recent Windows updates....get them fully installed...then make sure you reboot your computer before attempting to run &amp;amp; update TTX again.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;after that....yeah, an uninstall-reinstall might be needed.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Installer error 1603 while updating Turbotax 2023</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I purchased Turbotax 2023 as soon as it was available.&amp;nbsp; The initial installation and first update or two went fine, but now when I try to do an update I get fatal installer error 1603.&amp;nbsp; The most recent support article dated January 13, 2023&amp;nbsp; for error 1603 suggests running a manual update and gives a link to download updates but the most recent update is for Turbotax 2022.&amp;nbsp; What do I need to do either to fix the error or download an update for Turbotax 2023?&amp;nbsp; Turbotax will not run without the update.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
