      <description>&lt;P&gt;Explain "providing care."&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;What do you mean?&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Are you paying for over half her financial support?&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Did she have less than $4400 of income not counting Social Security?&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Or by "care" do you mean you are helping her with household tasks, driving her to medical appointments, etc.?&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Provide some details.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The costs of commuting to and from work are not deductible, even if you are driving a long distance from your mom's house to work in the other state.&lt;/P&gt;
