MADE A MOVE TO EUROPE

I have recently moved to Spain and I have been using TurboTax for many years, will I still be able to use it with a Spanish mailing address? I have read that people had a difficult time using the program with a foreign address and were not able to pay even when they still had a US bank and credit card.

Hi @GCM56

You can still use TurboTax using your Spanish mailing address.

There is a trick, at the checkout, you will change your mailing address to US address (you may be able to use your family's US address) and pay for the TurboTax fees. Once paid, you can change the mailing address back to US address and should be able to proceed with Efiling your return using the foreign address.

This changing of the addresses is done within my profile for Turbotax or on the IRS 1040 form that I did my taxes in? Because these are the two places where addresses are found....thank you for your response!!

You will change your mailing address from Foreign to US address under Personal info Tab in TurboTax. Then click on File Tab. Complete the Step 1. Then go back into your Personal info Tab in TurboTax and change it back to your Foreign Address. Click back to File Tab and complete Steps 2 and 3.
