&lt;P&gt;Yes, you can file as a resident alien if you have stayed in the US for more than 5 years. &lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;If you both are in your 6th year or later and have met the &lt;A href="https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/substantial-presence-test" target="_self"&gt;Substantial Presence&amp;nbsp;Test&lt;/A&gt; &lt;/STRONG&gt;then all you have to do is apply for the ITIN for your spouse &amp;amp; file a Married&amp;nbsp;filing Joint return.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;Also, you should&amp;nbsp; apply for the SSN for your child. Your spouse is not your dependent, only your child can be claimed as a dependent on your return.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;For the Vehicle purchase, you can enter the registration fees as an itemized deduction. But if the standard deduction is beneficial for you, then it does not apply.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello! I am an iternational student on F1 visa. I file my taxes as a resident as I am in the US for more than 5 years. This year I have birth (April 6, 2023). My child is a US citizen. How should I file taxes for him? Also, my husband is in the US as well with me. He has F2 visa. How should I file taxes for him? basically I need to file taxes idicating my two dependents and how should I do that?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I bought a car in January 2023. How should I indicate that?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
