An original tax return for tax year 2022 cannot be e-filed after 10/16/2023, it can only be printed and mailed.

However, if an e-filed return is rejected you will have 5 days after the due date to correct and e-file the return again.

The TurboTax desktop editions for 2022 will have to be used after the end of October to print and mail a 2022 tax return.
