    <description>&lt;P&gt;also, if you physically work in TX, then why is the payroll department withholding tax for LA? that is a conversation that should be had as well.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Employees pay tax to the state where they physically work or actually live; where the employer is located is immaterial.&amp;nbsp; (and since you are in TX, there is no state income tax)&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I live in Texas. My job is in Texas. My employer is located in Louisiana. &amp;nbsp;Why when I filed my out of state tax for Louisiana as a non resident do they say I owe money. I prepared on Intuit and received a $750 refund (all that was held out of my check). Now they want this money back and more. How do I correct this?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Did you actually (physically) perform any work in Louisiana?&amp;nbsp; If not, then your work income is not subject to Louisiana taxes.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Louisiana can only tax non-residents on Louisiana-source income.&amp;nbsp; Work income is "sourced" where the work is actually performed, regardless of where the employer is located.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
