Form 2555-T Explanation Question (Error caused me not to be asked a question and thus not provide explanation)

Hi all,

So, on 2555-T, TurboTax 2022 errored for whatever reason and did NOT prompt me to answer yes or no on Form 2555-T question 15c about visa limits on length of stay or employment in the foreign country.

The Error Checker found this and told me to manually answer it, so I did. But it did NOT prompt me to then write and attach an explanation for 2022.

▶ I had to write an explanation last year in TurboTax 2021 (it automatically asked me last year).

But, I did find a way to manually go into the forms and write it so I think I need to do that, right? Please advise.

▶ Also, question 9 on there asks for both the tax home(s) during the tax YEAR (2022) AND the date established which was in 2019 for me. Do I need to write two tax homes or write it on the second line if they were both in the same city and country (Seoul, Korea)?

@shanesnh , since you are using a desktop version of TurboTax, your choices are two --

(a) use the back button till the required entry screen shows up OR while the program is open , , select "Personal " tab. From there " Deductions & Credit", then on the next screen choose " I will choose what I work on " --> from the list now select " Foreign Taxes " under the para " Estimated and Other Taxes Paid" and follow through.

(b) go to forms mode and select form 2555 from the left pane showing the forms tree ( used form for this return ). Just be careful when using form mode .
