    <description>&lt;P&gt;I have had the same request from the IRS. Holding up my 2022 tax return.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;They want :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1) Copies of at least 3 pay statements or check stubs&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2) A notice on company letterhead from your employer&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3) A statement of benefits from retirement income&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have W-2's from the employer. &amp;nbsp;why the pay stubs? &amp;nbsp;(I'll send them but wtf?)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What would the notice on company letterhead be? &amp;nbsp;(Notice of what?)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Most importantly, what is a statement of benefits? &amp;nbsp;I have the 1099R &amp;nbsp; (I thought they automatically received that). &amp;nbsp;Is that what they want or something else?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there another statement of benefits they want.?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for any help!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you have questions on the notice call the number listed and ask.&amp;nbsp; Otherwise comply with the requests asap so the return can continue processing.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My thoughts ... the IRS may not have gotten a copy of the W-2 from the employer and/or info from the retirement plan administrator... that would explain what they are asking about.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;"&lt;SPAN&gt;the IRS may not have gotten a copy of the W-2 from the employer&lt;/SPAN&gt;"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This seems the most likely cause, either that or the Form W-2 filed with the IRS by the employer has information that differs from the W-2 information entered into TurboTax.&amp;nbsp; In addition to providing the IRS with the information requested, make sure that all information from the W-2, particularly the employer name and EIN, were entered correctly into TurboTax's W-2 form.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
