Transmission of returns

I cannot transmit returns. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Continue to get message that software needs updated but when I go to update it says my software is up to date

Are you also trying to e-file a Georgia state tax return at the same time as e-filing the federal return? If so. there is a problem with the GA return being filed. The issue is being worked on and hopefully a solution will be available soon.

In the meantime you can just file the Federal tax return without filing the GA return. In the File section after you select E-file you can then select Not to e-file the state tax return at this time.

Thanks but really want to get this all done at the same time and given that I have paid for GA, AL and Ark state returns, think there should be someone I could talk to at INTUIT that could solve this.

NO help desk is really BAD! At least I can't find one.

Until the issue is fixed there is nothing TT/Intuit can do for you even if you do get thru to someone. All you can do is wait for the fix. In the mean time you can file everything else then file GA when that situation is working. If you owe GA then print, ink sign and mail in the payment now ... do not wait as the penalties & interest will continue to accrue.

This problem with the GA state tax returns was reported two weeks ago to the TurboTax moderators of this forum. A solution should be forthcoming.

Received notice from the TurboTax Moderators that the update on Friday 07/14/2023 should have fixed this issue.

Check your Installed Updates - Click on Online at the top of the desktop program screen. Click on View Installed Updates. In the update list check to see if the 07/14/203 update was installed. If not installed then click on Check for Updates in the Online menu

If it was installed and you are still having the problem of not being able to e-file the Georgia state tax return due to the Failed Validation error then you need to send a diagnostic file to TurboTax for investigation.

Click on Online and the click on Send Tax File to Agent

When the Tax File is created and sent you will get a diagnostic file number.

Post the file number on this thread to the TurboTax Moderator @ErickaY

my tax file # is 1148038. Is turbo tax/intut looking at this or someone in the turbotax community? I am having same issue with my inlaws return
