      <description>&lt;P&gt;TurboTax does not make payments on your behalf to the IRS or your state---ever.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;You may have entered account information for a direct debit, but that payment had to be taken out of your account by the IRS or your state.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;TurboTax had nothing to do with making the payment.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;You will have to sort it out with the IRS by calling the contact number on the letter you received and provide them with proof that the money was taken out of your account.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Many folks have posted the same situation ... the IRS seems to have an issue this year and a phone call usually will fix this issue ... have proof of payment in hand when you call.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
